After spending a career in engineering and tech industries, in 2014, I jumped at the chance to run a small, local non-profit in my own neighborhood of Charlestown. As the lone employee of the Charlestown Lacrosse & Learning Center (CLLC), I am responsible for all aspects of running our boys & girls youth lacrosse programs (k-8th grade) and our after-school Learning Center, which focuses on providing homework help, tutoring, and academic enrichment classes to our middle school aged students (4th-8th grade). During my time as director, I have stabilized the organization’s operations, programs, and finances, and more than doubled the annual revenues. In general, I love collaborative brainstorming and working closely with others to develop, edit, walkthrough and improve ideas.
