I’ve spent most of my career working on the back end: distributed systems, databases, scaling challenges, and all the moving parts that keep big platforms running. What I enjoy most is taking something complex and breaking it down until the path forward is clear. Lately I’ve been especially interested in how tools like AI coding assistants fit into real engineering work. I don’t think they’ll replace what we do, but I do think they can free us up to spend more time on architecture, design, and mentoring. My goal is to keep growing into roles where I can influence both the systems we build and the culture we build them in, continuing to lead by example and focusing on solutions that last.
