Christian Butts
Finance and Planning professional with a foundation in economics, public finance, and data analysis. I’m currently a Finance Associate at Working Power, where I support project finance, capital structuring, and project development for community-driven solar projects. My work includes aligning philanthropic, debt, and tax credit investments to expand access to affordable clean energy, while also helping advance projects through early development milestones. My background bridges economics consulting, federal infrastructure finance, and project advisory. Before Working Power, I spent over six years in economic consulting with The Brattle Group, then worked on transportation and infrastructure finance at the Build America Bureau. I recently completed my Master of City Planning at the University of Pennsylvania’s Weitzman School of Design, concentrating in Sustainable Transportation & Infrastructure Planning and Energy Management & Policy. I also hold a B.S. in Economics from Wharton, with concentrations in Business Economics & Public Policy and Social Impact & Responsibility. Across roles, I focus on bringing clarity to complex systems and connecting finance with community impact — whether in clean energy, infrastructure, or sustainable development. Outside of work, I enjoy a cappella singing, comedy, cooking, and appreciating art however it may appear. (He/Him/His)
