How I like to work: 1. Limit work in progress. Work doesn't count until it ships to production 2. Quality and speed are a false dichotomy. What tooling can we add or build to ship fast at high quality? 3. Information and processes should be self-serve so that individuals can solve their own problems 4. Minimize structure and hire engineers who can create order out of disorder Some beliefs I hold: 1. Most VCs in Silicon Valley invest based on pedigree, vs slope or thesis. Pedigree is a lazy proxy for slope 2. Remote is better for the employee, in-office is better for the manager 🤷♀️ 3. If building in crypto, treat speculation is a feature, not a bug

Front end specializing engineer with full stack experience (focusing on Node.js). I have 6+ years experience in the industry working in Fortune 500, start-up and most recently academic settings, focusing on developing creative and efficient solutions to complex problems on cross-functional agile teams. I especially enjoy mentoring junior developers, and have found that training and mentoring others is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. I like being a developer because the mental techniques required to get good at solving engineering problems are some of the same ones you need to get good at solving life's problems. As a dev, I get to learn something new every day, and that's a valuable thing! Some of my favorite tools: Languages: JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, GraphQL, HTML, CSS, SCSS Libraries/Frameworks/Tools: React, Vue, Tailwind, Storybook, Express, Webpack, Babel, Next.js, Vite State Management: Redux, Vuex, React Context API Testing: Jest, Cypress, React Testing Library Source Control: Git & GitHub Environments/DB: Node.js, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Docker Cloud: AWS
