I have been an integration consultant since 2001, visiting a different banking institution roughly every year. This has enabled me to refine a unique skill: I can tailor the best est of agile pratices for the project so that it feels natural to a team. The idea is to respect the team culture and technical abilities, and work with it. I have been working in J2EE environments until I joined SSF in 2006, then mostly C++ for about 7 years, and back to java. It is fair to say that today, I am bilingual. On Java, I specialised on Spring since the inception of the framework (I was giving talks about it back in 2005). Today, I want to continue to be on site, and offer my 15 years + experience in integrating financial systems. Since the last 10 years, I have been using Specification By Example heavily, through FitNesse in particular. This enabled to unearth difficult to catch requirements and put them in automated acceptance tests at the same time. I managed to put 100% of the requirements in FitNesse. This enables projects to deliver what the client needs as well as helping the team to understand what is really wanted. Samantha is a senior financial services executive and NED with unique experience spanning tier-one banks, prominent fintechs and major regulators. Her most recent role at Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) has seen her leading the strategic direction on payments, including driving payments strategy, fostering payments partnerships and managing the Group’s external relationships across the payments industry and regulators. Enterprise operational responsibilities covered key services including, domestic and international payments settlement, liquidity and scheme management, payments design consultancy, and payments policy compliance. Previously, Samantha held roles at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), leading in both payments supervision and the regulator’s globally recognised innovation agenda. Prior to this, Samantha held several senior positions at NatWest/RBS in Global Transaction Services (GTS) leading on digital innovation, strategy design, transformation, and regulatory change. Samantha has served a term as a Director of Swift SC, also serving as the Board’s Deputy Chair.
