Staff Engineer @ Underdog

As a Software Engineer, I take a leading role in the planning and development of scalable services that support new and existing product features. I work with product and sales to define scope/prioritization and manage engineering teams to ensure a consistent delivery cadence. In addition, I help monitor long-term engineering concerns like code-base readability, staff morale/engagement, and management of technical debt. My development work typically includes implementing web services, developing third party API integrations, building front-end components, writing unit/integration tests, designing database schemas/migrations, implementing production-grade networking and infrastructure enhancements, etc. I also assist with various devops tasks, such as deployment procedure, performance and availability monitoring, load balancing and scaling, database administration, and continuous integration.
