Senior Software Engineer
Currently, I am a senior software engineer at Stripe working remotely from Ottawa, Canada. I am part of the Reliability Infrastructure team and I am the DRI of the Chaos Scenarios platform at Stripe. I led to completion multiple features in Chaos Scenarios like: the new UI, auto scheduling, custom faults, and recommended templates. Previously, I worked as a backend engineer at Adobe for 3 years and a half. I was in the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) team developing backend microservices using Springboot and Java. I contributed in building two microservices from scratch. In addition, I implemented features in monolith projects that required co-ordination with mutiple teams. I also did some operations work including: reporting and alerting using NewRelic, CI/CD using Jenkins and CircleCI, and Splunk logging. Finally, I did on-call shifts and helped to solve critical problems affecting live customers. Previously, I got my Master's postgraduate studies in SFU, Canada in the network systems lab doing research about video streaming in different types of network (wired, wireless, and mobile networks). My work was about multicast streaming of 360-degree videos over LTE networks. I am a creative, yet focused student with good programming skills. My knowledge of software engineering, coupled with my leadership abilities, has enabled me to develop efficient projects during my undergraduate and postgraduate studies. My determination, and hard working skills have enabled me to get excellent grades in most of the subjects. Also, i got overall excellent degree with distinction in my bachelors and i ranked third on my patch and i have perfect GPA in my master's. In addition, I have done multiple technical and research internships in Adobe, QCRI, and BadrIT. In Adobe, I developed a prototype for streaming proxies inside Adobe Premiere Pro which is now a basis for a new feature. Also, I successfully completed juniors' and seniors' algorithms summer training and participated in many algorithms' competitions and achieved honorable results due to my fair knowledge of problem solving. Moreover, I contributed in many social activities in my community to help others. This also helped me to improve different skills as: communication, presentation, leadership, project management, .... etc.
