We desperately need more nature in our daily lives. To make that happen, we need to bring it into cities—where most of us live, work, and grow up. But cities weren’t built for nature. They’re dense, paved, polluted. And they’re taking a toll on our health, our ecology, and our well-being. We can’t go back to the wild. So we have to build it in. And to do that at scale, we need help—from technology. Not to replace nature, but to help it survive. To help it thrive. To reconnect us with it. I’m Dr. Nadina Galle, ecological engineer, National Geographic Explorer, and creator of the Internet of Nature®—a global movement to rewild cities with the help of technology. My work has taken me from the vertical jungles of Singapore to smart water gardens in New York, from citizen-led nature hunts in La Paz to intelligent tree care innovations in Amsterdam. I search the world for ideas that work—and help others bring them to life. I work across formats—keynotes, books, podcasts, films, articles, research, and hands-on projects—to bring the Internet of Nature into practice and help cities thrive. I share what I’ve learned in my Amazon-bestselling book, THE NATURE OF OUR CITIES (HarperCollins, 2024), featured by CNBC, Bloomberg Cities, NPR, The New York Post, and translated into Dutch. I also host the Internet of Nature Podcast (25k+ downloads), where I speak with pioneers making greener, healthier cities a reality—one tree, sensor, or sidewalk at a time. How I work with cities, companies & changemakers: 🌿 KEYNOTE SPEAKING Known for story-driven keynotes with real characters, bold ideas, and audience interaction. I’ve given 150+ talks—from nature festivals and academic conferences to TEDx and The Next Web—speaking to audiences of 1,300+ across five continents. 🌿 STRATEGIC WORKSHOPS Hands-on sessions with cities, tree care companies, design teams, and NGOs to rethink urban environments. We co-create nature-based, tech-enabled strategies for healthier, more climate-resilient communities. 🌿 ADVISORY & IMPLEMENTATION I help organizations bring projects to life—from forest monitoring and heat mapping to biodiversity engagement and nature-prescription pilots.
