Engineering executive with extensive experience leading, evolving and managing distributed teams of high performance operations, reliability and software engineers. While I have a great amount of experience creating technical strategies and operating infrastructure, my passion is solving people, organizational and operational challenges. I particularly thrive in remote, distributed environments and with matrixed, fluid organizational structures. I am an advocate of the process of reliability engineering, and enjoy collaborating, knowledge sharing and supporting the growth of those on my teams, in my company and in my communities. I am passionate about supporting members of underserved populations to gain experience, skills and jobs in technology. I am engage actively to bring women, people of color and LGBTQ individuals into the world of technology, and support them in their careers. I am also fascinated with open source technologies and the commoditization of IT, and how it can support communities and the general welfare of the individual.
