José is a Deal Partner at Ganas VC, investing in early-stage startups in the USA and LATAM. After 12 years optimizing digital performance for entrepreneurs and corporations, he now helps LATAM software companies expand into the USA. He has collaborated with Google for Startups, Movistar, AB-InBev, Coca-Cola, Pygma, and Startup Grind. As Director of Startup Grind, a global startup community in Silicon Valley, he mentors, inspires, and connects entrepreneurs. An alumnus of USFQ and Y Combinator, José learned how to start and equip a startup for present and future success. At the age of 21, I became the CEO and co-founder of BigBang, an interactive digital marketing agency. I collaborated with some of the world's largest advertisers and agencies, including Televisa, YANBAL, Coca-Cola, and DemocracyOS, to develop digital campaigns. I have enjoyed my executive positions because they allow me to help my team grow. I learn a lot from them and I feel comfortable handling several issues at the same time. My professional career has allowed me to learn about digital marketing, product management, and growth hacking. I'm passionate about creating valuable content to solve people's problems. This led me to learn SEO, Inbound Marketing, and use a CRM to automate B2B, B2C, and D2C campaigns. When I need to accelerate the delivery of results, I utilize performance marketing and digital advertising across various platforms including Google Ads, programmatic, SEM, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and tourism OTAs. I have experience in creating web products and applications, launching them, and helping them grow within a digital ecosystem that caters to users' needs. I am adept at simultaneously developing functionalities and implementing marketing strategies, while also focusing on user experience (UX) and leveraging insights from data. I aim to further my knowledge in developing digital solutions that enhance people's quality of life by being sustainable, accessible, and engaging.
