Hiba Fatima Hamid
I am a second-year medical student at Tufts University School of Medicine, in the Maine Track. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's in neuroscience. My work centers on brain research and applied neurotechnology projects: particularly tools that support cognition, interface design, and systems-level thinking in medicine. My academic focus has included neurosurgery, neurology, and pathology. I have worked on projects involving traumatic brain injury, spine surgery, and AI-driven diagnostics in transplant pathology. My research has been supported by the NIH T35 Fellowship and the Harold Williams Fellowship via TUSM. Alongside clinical work, I am excited about neurotech projects that explore cognitive monitoring, neural interfacing, and attention-aware systems. I currently conduct neurosurgical research at the Tufts Spine Center and serve as the President of the AANS chapter, and Vice President of SIGN. My long term interests sit at the intersection of neuroscience, technology, and cognitive systems. I am always open to thoughtful collaborations in research, neurotech development, or systems design.
