I have been a VC for nearly 30 years, the last 18 with Notable Capital. I love working with growing companies, and I’m at my best when serving as a trusted advisor to entrepreneurs and management teams who are endeavoring to build great companies. Earlier in my career, during my time at Goldman Sachs, I learned how important it is to deliver on clients’ needs; I have tried to bring this commitment to my portfolio companies ever since. Today, my partners and I invest in companies with the potential to lead their markets. I spend lots of time in markets outside the Bay Area, including Israel, NY, and elsewhere. This “local plus global” perspective is something I actively cultivate because I think it helps my portfolio companies. As a member of three-time NCAA National Championship tennis teams while at Stanford, I learned about the importance of teamwork. The lessons carry over today in my work with my team, which truly is a partnership of intelligent, talented and practical people able to put their egos aside to join in a commitment to fostering the entrepreneur's success.
