Ethan is a Partner at Venrock where he focuses on data infrastructure, developer tools, and hard engineering including space and computing. He led the investments and serve on the boards of data infrastructure companies: Astronomer, Decodable, Dgraph, Meltano, and hard engineering companies: ABL Space, Astranis, Atom Computing, and Skyryse. Prior to Venrock, Ethan was an active angel/seed investor and spend 15+ years as a founder & operator. Ethan held leadership roles at Facebook, Box (IPO 2015), and Yahoo! Ethan is the lead or co-lead inventor on 12 patents. In and out of the office, he is a passionate builder, space geek, and competitive athlete. You can usually find Ethan outdoors with his kids building things that launch or propel.
