I am passionate about my work to innovate and commercialize business solutions that benefit the environment. For over thirty years my career has focused on building and leading best-in-class collaborative teams in a number of exceptional organizations to address what we now know to be humanity’s greatest challenge: climate change. I have worked in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors in renewable energy and global carbon markets in roles spanning people and project management, client relations, communications, policy, and operations. I enjoy the energy of a fast-paced and dynamic work environment and appreciate the value of working on a united team with like-minded colleagues. People are at the heart of every organization, and we need collective action at scale to save our planet. As President and CEO of Environmental Resources Trust (ERT), a wholly owned nonprofit subsidiary of Winrock International, I am tasked with the strategic leadership of ACR, formerly the American Carbon Registry, and the Architecture for REDD+ Transactions (ART) with the objective of harnessing the power of markets to improve the environment.

Michael Erickson brings more than a decade of experience in consulting focused on international development, IT transformation, global health supply chain, monitoring and evaluation, economic growth, and Business Process Reengineering (BPR). Michael has led teams to strengthen project management and transform business models internationally, with public- and private-sector clients in Jordan, Malawi, South Africa, Brazil, Ethiopia and Honduras among others, by providing tailored innovative solutions to each unique client challenge.
