I am an impact-driven human with a people-first philosophy. In the past ten years, I have sought out opportunities in the critical corners of the tech ecosystem — as a founder, team member, board member, VC, angel investor, and now as an executive search partner. I've rolled up my sleeves in early-stage startups, helped to scale a world-renowned accelerator, co-founded Canada's largest tech meetup group, founded a national talent organization, and worked as a partner in venture capital. From a very young age, I knew that my cup was full if I was helping other people. Through a non-linear career path from human rights to tech, I've found the greatest joy in work that allows me to remain curious, honest, and creative. Some of my proudest accomplishments: * Building Canada's largest startup job board to acquisition by Communitech. It is home to over 1500 companies and 70,000 jobs promoted annually. * Launching a layoff list product from ideation to MVP in 4 hours, scaling to the world's largest and most impactful layoff program in the early days of the COVID pandemic. * Expanding a Tier1 venture firm's footprint into Canada as a Talent Partner, supporting deal sourcing, talent referrals, and human capital advisory across the portfolio. * Launching the first Canadian chapter of a sober sunrise dance party to help unite people of all ages in better daily habits and gratitude. * Co-founding Canada's largest national meetup group and tech community, launching 3 national chapters and 3 industry-specific chapters in less than 1 year. * Creating 2 whole humans and raising them as best I can. Nothing I've accomplished has been done in isolation. I believe that we're all better together. After getting an MA in Interpreting and Translating, I never imagined I would end up working in People & Culture in the tech industry in Montreal... but I'm here and loving it! Building on a decade of HR experience, including: coaching, training and supporting managers; implementing and streamlining systems, processes and policies; building successful onboarding programs; partnering effectively with all levels of leadership; and all the other pieces that come with leading people operations for large engineering groups!
