I am a Software Developer at Microsoft working on many cool internal and external (3P) applications. I have an interest in Cyber Security and my favorite programming language is Python. I have experience in front-end and back-end applications using C, C#, Python, React, Typescript, etc. Outside of work I spend the majority of my time studying languages (fluent in Spanish, Portuguese & French), traveling to use said languages and connecting with people from every walk of life. I'm a growth engine: everywhere I've ever worked, I've left the organization bigger and better than I found it. For example, at Spreemo Health, I streamlined workflows to reduce processing time by 40% and I trained 17 employees and supervised three while helping to grow a seven-year-old startup to a multimillion-dollar exit. In addition, while at Paycom -- a cloud-based human capital management software, named 5th on Fortune’s 100 Fastest Growing Companies in 2018 -- I worked with multiple, diverse clients at a time to onboard them to their new HR and payroll platform. In my role as a process technician with Applied Materials, I meticulously prepare wafers for thin film experimentation, oversee reactor setup and operation, and meticulously evaluate outcomes. Additionally, I expertly utilize a scanning electron microscope (SEM) to conduct in-depth analyses of samples from both cross sections and top views. I actively support colleagues by offering guidance on optimizing sample preparation techniques and conditions. My professional journey includes obtaining various certifications from Applied Materials, including Metrology and Defect Inspection, as well as mastering the Fundamentals of Dielectric Deposition. Concurrently, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at Foothill College, with plans to transfer to SJSU. Through my studies, I've gained a comprehensive understanding of both the theoretical and practical dimensions of chemical analysis, synthesis, and instrumentation. Furthermore, my coursework at San Jose City College in biochemistry has sparked a profound interest in the intersection of chemistry and biological systems. Driven by a fervent desire for continuous growth, I am deeply passionate about acquiring new skills and broadening my knowledge base. My ultimate career aspiration lies in the realm of data science. To this end, I recently completed a LinkedIn course on The Non-Technical Skills of Effective Data Scientists, which equipped me with invaluable insights into effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving strategies.

When I first entered SJSU, I thought I wanted to be an Accountant due to my love of math and Excel sheets. While that didn't turn out the way I expected, I did gain an appreciation of office management and admin work. Throughout the multiple professional positions I have held so far, I found ways to grow and expand my skills past the base concepts I learned in university. Those experiences taught me the following about myself: I love to learn and master programs and services. - At Netflix, they switched to Zendesk during the first month of my employment. Within a week, I learned how to automate my tasks and finish them significantly faster than before. - I learned and familiarized myself with the database system of the US Census Bureau. Wading through decades of feature growth and depreciated services, I became the de-facto trainer, documentation creator, and report processor for the office I am detail oriented and always looking for a way to optimize. - As part of their inclusion initiative, Netflix added menstrual products to the men's bathrooms; however, they failed to add any disposal units in the stall. I noticed this and led the charge to have them added. - While counting election materials by hand, I noticed we could keep a master count in an Excel sheet to compare against to speed up the process. Once suggested, I was put in charge of a sheet used to audit the 2018 Election in Santa Clara County. I can grow and surpass expectations for myself - While I was inexperienced at the time, I was able to show my abilities and was promoted to a supervisory role in both the U.S. Census Bureau and the County of Santa Clara Voter’s Bureau. - After many years of neglect, a professional organizer was planned to come in to fix our storage situation at Netflix. With a week of hard work, some emails, and an Excel sheet, I was able to get the closet under control without any external aid or costs.
