Jen leads the global product organization that builds technology for Uber’s 100+ million riders around the globe, including the flagship Uber app. She oversees Uber’s data and UX platform strategy across core domains such as AI & ML rider personalization, autonomous mobility and delivery, and geospatial systems—including Maps—which serve as foundational infrastructure for Uber Rides, Uber Eats, and strategic partners globally. Jen has launched and scaled several growth verticals to millions of users and into multi-billion-dollar businesses, and also led a multi-year effort to transform Uber from a single-product service app into a data-personalized "super app" platform. Jen’s career passion has been building experiences that people love to use — across a number of verticals including marketplaces, ecommerce, content, payments, and developer platforms. In 2020 she led the global launch of a new open-source payment protocol called PayID reaching over 125 million customers, and she launched the Open Payments Coalition, a consortium of the world’s largest wallets and exchanges collaborating to make payments more open and interoperable. She has been an early member of three startups, including what is now a top content distribution app used by millions of creators, and another a social mobile commerce app that was acquired by Facebook. In her past life, Jen was an entrepreneur and brand manager for global businesses, which is where she learned to be scrappy and advocate for user experience. Jen served as an Independent Director on the board of publicly traded company Upbound Group, Inc, an omni-channel platform company committed to elevating financial opportunity for all consumers, with industry-leading brands such as Rent-A-Center® and Acima® that facilitate consumer experiences across a range of digital retail and store-based channels, including over 2,400 company branded retail units across the US, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
