Founding eng lead for Twitter Blue, former head of Subscriptions Revenue Engineering at Twitter. The theme of of my career in tech has been leading scrappy product innovation teams. I've led a variety of teams and programs at Akamai, Google, and Twitter, and before my career in tech, I was a theoretical physicist. I advise startups and consult for larger companies on engineering innovation. I love building, inventing, discovering and learning. I have a diverse background that spans areas from cloud computing to theoretical physics. I enjoy combining my technical skills with leadership and strategy skills as I lead teams and bring people from different backgrounds together to build awesome products. I love solving difficult and important problems, and I'm always looking for a new challenge. I have expertise in planetary-scale distributed systems, and I build resilient and secure products that scale. I am trained as a theoretical physicist, and I have a deep background in mathematical modeling, simulation of complicated systems, and data analysis. I've had an interesting range of software engineering experiences - spanning distributed systems architecture, systems and network programming in C, full-stack HTML5/JS web programming, data science, advanced math modeling & simulation, operations, and performance engineering. I learn new languages and concepts quickly and thoroughly. Throughout my career, I've had fun tackling a diverse range of subjects - as a physicist, I worked in theoretical quantum physics, simulated nanostructures and engineered quantum computer architectures. In tech, I've worked in areas ranging from enterprise software to infrastructure to Ads and consumer product.
