Hi! My name is May Lamb and I'm an environmental science major at Colorado College. I am an avid adventurer and learner, having completed a semester abroad in Bhutan in Fall of 2023. I love working and recreating in the outdoors, reading, and discovering new things. I ran cross country and track with the Colorado College team for two years, and am a co-captain of the club Nordic Ski team. I have also spent the time I can spare volunteering for trail clean up and with sustainable farms to give back to the community in any way I can. I enjoy working closely and collaboratively with others and am dedicated to the conservation of nature and making the outdoors an accessible and welcoming wonder for everyone. Having worked at a back country hut with the AMC, restaurants, a health food store, and as a barista, the importance of excellent customer service has never been understated. I am friendly and hardworking, so I have always enjoyed engaging with customers in whatever way can help. Furthermore, my experience as a student athlete has prepared me to be a dependable and hardworking team member, problem solver, and communicator.

I’d rather be in the forest. Alex Wick, Master Chief Forester/Founder at Cascadia Carbon Inc. I graduated from Colorado College with a Bachelors degree in biology, with a focus on plant ecology, and then worked for Oregon State University as a Forestry Technician leading field research teams for several years before returning to academia to obtain my Master of Science in Natural Resources: Forestry, Watershed and Wildland Sciences, with a Hydrology concentration. I’ve held secret clearance with the USDA-USFS as a Forest Inventory and Analysis LIDaR biometrics Contracting Officer’s Representative I, sat on a GNSS/GPS receiver working group which expanded the approved receiver types for sub-meter geospatial resolution mapping of forestry inventory plots in National Forests, and am so good at limiting factor analysis and growing plants that I’m working on growing them in orbit and on the moon, to create a challenge worthy of my skills.
