Those things should improve OUTCOMES—financial, legal, personal. And systematically so. Walker is a veteran Silicon Valley tech attorney and AI entrepreneur. Some of the folks he has helped include Hellman & Friedman, IDEO, Airbus, JPMorgan, Apple, the White House, Aon, the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority, Sefaria, Blackstone, BlackRock, Temasek, Facebook, US District Courts, the Federal Circuit, and certain supreme courts. Previously, he wrote “On Legal AI” (2019), the field’s first practical treatise. (OLAI 2.0: 2025.) These three projects helped inspire generations of law and CS entrepreneurs. Walker has now put 30 years of effective and divergent AI prescience—and over twenty as a successful Silicon Valley IP & AI attorney—into System.Legal: There remains a multi-trillion dollar “entropy gap” between GenAI promises and proven user utility (in law, but in general). Closing that gap may seem an inevitability over the long run. But in the near term it cries out for hard, adaptive work (including novel and divergent AI <~> human approaches). . . . Divergence to arrive. But this entropy gap is generally ignored. And ignorance means peril. Performance test results are spoofed or swept under the rug. Innovation theatre reigns.
