Who does AI think I am? "You are a creative and detail-oriented thinker who seamlessly blends technical expertise with imaginative problem-solving, always striving for refinement and excellence in your work." It's straight out of a resume summary, but true nonetheless.
I continue to consult in cybersecurity and own/manage several private companies and successfully exited a social network startup company in 2019 that has propelled me to this day, but only after losing everything; including my family, sanity, and net worth. But since then, it's been nothing but up. The timing of my personal demise and the pandemic led to an epic time for my new family and business ventures.
Over the span of my career, I have achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Management of Information Systems plus 12 industry certifications including the CISSP and CISM. After three decades, I'm done getting new certs and degrees. Experience counts more.
I founded Duby, LLC established in 2014 in Denver, Colorado, where I led the company and development of a popular alternative secure social network, taking it from a side hustle to over a million happy users and a successful multi-million dollar exit over the span of five years.
What's a Cybersecurity Cowboy? Going "Cowboy" means you get it done right, get it done now, and don't let anything get in your way. That mentality has embodied a successful 30+ year career as an entrepreneur and cybersecurity professional.
So what about "survivalist"? Well, I am a prepper, but that's practically irrelevant; being a survivalist means you adapt to the world around you rapidly, taking advantage of opportunities, protecting yourself against threats, and protecting yourself and family as a priority over being a typical worker bee and societal drone.
