Hi everyone! Greetings from Buffalo, New York! My name is Jacob Ceranski. I’m an undergraduate student at the University at Buffalo’s School of Management, where I’m majoring in Information Technology and Management. I have a strong passion for solving problems, streamlining systems, and finding innovative solutions that drive results. While my academic focus is in Information Technology and Management, my passion for technology began long before college. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been fascinated by how systems work, from the way devices communicate to how data powers decision-making. That early curiosity evolved into a deep interest in areas like IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. In high school, I channeled this enthusiasm into hands-on research and problem-solving, including a year-long project focused on optimizing technology for real-world impact. Today, I’m driven by the desire to build smarter, more efficient systems that bridge the gap between business and technology. Currently working in the hospitality industry, I bring experience in both fine dining and retail environments. I’m proud to serve at Falletta’s, an upscale Italian restaurant recognized for its exceptional attention to detail and elevated guest experience. My foundation in customer service, communication, and team collaboration was built during my time as a Store Associate at Wegmans and has since been sharpened through consistent performance in fast-paced, high-expectation settings. I thrive in roles where professionalism, adaptability, and a guest-first mindset are essential. I’m currently pursuing a B.S. in Information Technology and Management at the University at Buffalo, where I’m developing a strong foundation in data, systems, and project coordination. I’m especially drawn to roles that blend technical problem-solving with human-centered thinking. Above all, I take pride in being adaptable, dependable, and always ready to step up when challenges arise both in the classroom and the workplace. I’m always open to new opportunities, whether internships, part-time roles, or full-time positions, where I can apply my skills, grow professionally, and contribute to a forward-thinking team.

Currently enrolled in Auburn University's Paralegal program. Hoping to pass the NALA exam in a few months. Hoping to one day study and take the LSAT to pursue a higher education in law. This year one of my goals is to learn a new skill or earn a new certificate each month to gain more knowledge of the world around me with the hope future career developments may follow from them.

I have a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Loyola Marymount University, where I learned the fundamentals of financial analysis, accounting, and economics. I am currently a Sales Development Representative at Carta, a platform company that helps startups and investors manage their equity, payroll, and valuation. I have a passion for growth and lean, and I apply these concepts to my daily work as a SDR. As a SDR, I partner with the sales and marketing teams to generate qualified leads, nurture prospects, and schedule demos for the Carta solutions. I use social media, email, and phone to reach out to potential customers, educate them about the benefits of Carta, and address their pain points and needs. I also leverage my finance background and knowledge of the startup ecosystem to build rapport and trust with the prospects. I am motivated by the opportunity to help founders and investors scale their businesses efficiently and effectively, and to be part of a diverse and collaborative team that shares the same vision and values.

I previously worked as Social Media Manager for CollegeHumor and went on to become the Digital Growth Director at Funny or Die. Following this, I worked as a Social Media Director for MoviePass, a movie subscription service. I consulted for the sports betting platform, BetQL and am currently a Digital Marketing Specialist for Effective Marketing. I’d love to connect and discuss the possibility of working together.
