With over 10 years of software engineering experience, I am a senior back-end engineer at Redesign Health, a venture studio that partners with entrepreneurs to build and launch transformative healthcare businesses. I design and implement the platform and data solutions that enable the company to deliver innovative and scalable products and services to the health industry.
I enjoy learning new technologies and applying them to create end-to-end solutions that solve complex problems and meet customer needs. I have expertise in AWS, Java, Python, Terraform, Playwright, Docker, and more. I also have experience in building recommendation systems, ranking services, microservices, and cloud-based architectures. I have contributed to the business impact of Redesign Health by designing and building the future PaaS of the health industry, as well as leading a team of engineers and collaborating with other stakeholders. I have a patent on a method, system, and apparatus for rapid geographic search in an actor-based geographic search network. 
Over the last thirty years, David has served as Chief Technology Officer, Chief Information / Security Officer, and Chief Product Officer for numerous public and private Fintech, Communications, and Healthcare companies. His experiences include service on numerous Executive Boards over the last 10 years.
To demonstrate his business acumen, strategic planning skills, and fresh thinking, David co-founded Medcast from the ground up – a news and information system enabling physicians to receive news within their specialties in a multi-media broadcast format, making it available to the general public. He developed it to be extremely well-received in the medical community and sold Medcast to WebMD for $215M in a four-way merger with WebMD, Healtheon, Medi-America, and Medcast.
He led the engineering of PGi’s global Audio, video, and Web collaboration networks, which served more than 50,000 enterprise customers, including 75% of the Fortune 100. PGi was sold to SirisCapital in December 2015 for $1.1b.
David has been selected for the Georgia Chief Information Officer Lifetime Achievement Award and was chosen by ComputerWorld as a Premier 100 Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Officer. He also holds twenty patents in communications and mobile services.
David is well-respected for building consensus to achieve companies' goals. He is highly regarded as a servant leader who ensures staff are afforded the proper training and mentoring to be successful in their positions and realize opportunities for advancement and promotions.
