Bay Backner is a web3 producer and creator of collective virtual experiences. She is Head Producer & Curator at Decentraland, the virtual social world, and is currently producing Decentraland Art Week for September 2025. Bay is also the founder of MESHfair, the virtual art fair for 3D, metaverse and VR, and co-founder of Vueltta, an international XR art collective. She is Assistant Professor of Emerging Technologies for the MA program in Global Entertainment and Music Business at Berklee Valencia. Bay’s work has been seen in Vanity Fair, Architectural Digest, Dazed, WIRED, Vogue, and Grazia magazines, and featured by Metaverse Art Week, Metaverse Fashion Week, NFT Show Europe, ETH Barcelona and The Financial Times Digital Asset Summit. Bay regularly speaks on virtual experience, metaverse and spatial internet. She holds a degree in Physics from Oxford University.

She is not confined to a single genre of art and music ; her sonic palette spans a multitude, from hypnotic beats, hip-hop, and experimental to electronic, infusing her virtual world with an electrifying aura that resonates with the essence of rawness, spirituality, and edgy music. Serena creates a space with ethereal magic that also resonates with the next wave of music culture that’s she’s highly attuned with. Her heavy influences like Kanye West and Grimes, give her personality and vision a pop, as she can express this with her digital avatar and engage in a whole new dimension. As A child, doing a PSA commercial with Mariah Carey influenced her drive and fueled the fire within to push her to pursue her music career with the use of Tech and pioneering in the Web 3 Space. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in commerce in 2018, from USAL University in Buenos Aires. My scope covers the commercial side of the business including different functions primarily sales, good communication skills, market intelligence, business management and business development.
