I’ve been developing software solutions since the 20th century, and have experience in all stages of the software development lifecycle. I am passionate about building software that is easy to use, works across a wide range of devices and platforms, and helps make people and businesses more productive. I’ve worked with startups, mid-size companies and Fortune 500 enterprises. I’ve been an early adopter of technology since childhood. My first computer had no hard drive, and I connected to AOL using a corded telephone handset placed on an acoustic coupler cradle. I was one of the first of my peers to have a car phone, a Macintosh computer, a Palm Pilot, and a smartphone. I started building websites back in the mid 90’s before JavaScript existed, and I was an early evangelist of responsive design for mobile websites. My latest passion is designing and building VoicePT, an Amazon Alexa skill that improves physical therapy outcomes by increasing home exercise program adherence. In other words, we help people do their physical therapy at home so they have less pain later. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, rafting, skiing, snowshoeing, biking, and mentoring entrepreneurs.
