And if you need/want something, you should consider secondhand first--you get something fully functional, save money, get something unique, save the earth and more. - Spent a year in Silicon Valley and fell in love with technology, came back to Singapore with a passion to solve meaningful problems at a global scale with tech - Stumbled upon a personal problem that resonated with a lot more people than us 3 co-founders after we demo-ed a prototype our team hacked together in 54 hours at Startup Weekend - Dropped my honours year to start Carousell with my co-founders Lucas and Marcus full-time in May 2012 - Bootstrapped our way to being No.1 Shopping app in Singapore since Jan 2014 with an app that makes selling as easy as taking a photo, and buying as simple as chatting - Discovered that this was not just a problem unique to Singapore, but a truly global one! I'm a seasoned recruiter with a decade of experience in finding and hiring the best talent for various industries. I believe that culture is the foundation of any successful organization, and that recruitment is the key to shaping and sustaining it. I started my career as a headhunter for Argyll Scott (RPO), where I learned the ropes of sourcing, cold calling, and market mapping for Singapore and Hong Kong markets. I then transitioned to internal recruitment, working with leading companies in banking, finance, and insurance sectors in the Philippines. I handled initial interviews, cold calling, and pipeline management for these roles. My next challenge was to join American Express PH as a Recruitment Coordinator, where I supported leadership and corporate hiring. I was responsible for the entire recruitment process, from job posting to on-boarding. I later became a Recruitment Specialist, where I enhanced my skills in hiring manager intake, business partnership, sourcing, interview, and offer negotiation. I also had the opportunity to work with Circles.Life, a startup telco business, as a Talent Acquisition Associate. I was the first TA headcount in the Philippines, and I supported corporate leadership, operations, customer service, finance, HR and TA hiring in Manila, Singapore, Taiwan and Indonesia. In Carousell, I managed full cycle of recruitment for both local and SEA corporate and internship hiring. I also had some experience in vendor management for our PH operations. My most recent role was with COTO, a social community platform based on Web3 principles exclusively for women. I handled full cycle of recruitment for tech and non-tech roles for global remote opportunities. I love building relationships with candidates and hiring managers, and I take pride in being a partner and brand ambassador of the companies I work with.
