Bowdoin Sophomore Interested in Public Policy & Human Rights Advocacy | Jack Kent Cooke Scholar

The first election I followed closely was in 2018 when Beto O'Rourke nearly defeated Ted Cruz to flip a Senate seat in my home state of Texas blue for the first time since 1988. Since then, I have devoted the majority of my time away from school to volunteering and working for political organizations and nonprofits. In what's left of my free time, I enjoy working on new songs on piano and bass, watching sports (soccer, football, basketball, tennis, etc.), and going on walks with my family. I am currently a student at Bowdoin College, where I plan to pursue a double major in government and legal studies—with a focus on international relations—and mathematics, with a minor in classics.
