Senior Software Engineer

Will Killian (he/him) is a Senior Software Engineer at NVIDIA primarily working on NeMo Agent toolkit. Will has technology interests in parallel programming models, programming languages, compilers, compiler optimizations, asynchronous programming, application fitting, performance portability, and clean code. His programming languages of choice often include C++, Python, and Rust. Will has worked for Voltron Data, a software startup with a large-scale distributed query engine called Theseus, and NextSilicon, a hardware startup focused on traditional high-performance computing. He was an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Millersville University for four years where he taught the majority of major-required courses (Intro to Programming 1 & 2, Programming Languages, Computational Models, Data Structures, Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, Software Engineering) as well as an elective in Parallel Programming. He also helped develop curriculum, supervised two honors theses, served on several department and college committees, developed a department course scheduler using constraint satisfaction in first-order logic, and maintained the Autolab deployment at the university for lab assessment submission and autograding.
