Workplace Strategy Consultant, PhD

My passion is to support change-both physical and cultural- of my clients, translating into a strategy brief the data I collect through listening to people’s aspirations, understanding the values and culture of their organisation and observing their activities and use of the building in where they work or study. My focus is mainly on people, rather than on buildings as I believe involving the occupants during the design process will result in creating a working/learning environment that will respond to their actual needs and aspirations, as well as enhancing their wellbeing and productivity. I am a chartered Building Engineer with a PhD in Building Physics, seven years in research and four years in strategic consulting, in corporate and higher education sectors. I help clients to understand their needs in order to take strategic decisions on relocation, refurbishment, suggesting new ways of working and supporting change management. I help universities to understand the pattern of use of teaching, learning and office spaces, to advice on: better use of their estate, booking systems, student experience and staff and student satisfaction. I have looked at many different kinds of buildings, establishing my ability to evaluate work environments as well as spaces for teaching and learning. As a post doc researchers I worked in the field of the Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ), specifically in how to improve daylighting to provide a high level of well being and productivity and to reduce energy consumption in buildings.
