Brand Director & Venture Partner

My name is Ty Wilkins and I'm a Designer, Illustrator, and Venture Partner based in Austin, Texas. I've worked for fast-growing startups and design studios, and also as an independent design consultant. As a freelancer, I've worked with GitLab, Auth0, Loom, Vercel, Meta, Target, and Stanford. I also partnered with Google over four years to brand numerous products including Google Maps, Google AI, Google Analytics, Google Photos, Google Fi, and many more. Additionally, I've branded prominent open-source projects, including JSON Web Tokens (JWT) and Celery. As an editorial illustrator, I've worked with Monocle, Wired, Bloomberg, Golf Digest, and ESPN. As an angel investor, I've invested in several high-growth startups, including Vercel, Medallion, Visual Electric, Cognition, and Parafin. I'm also an investor and board member for Spline. As an early employee at Robinhood, my work spanned branding, product design, illustration, and marketing. Previously, I was the Brand Director at Scale and Design Director at Harvey. Currently I am a Venture Partner at Chapter One.
