I am an experienced technology executive with a focus on leading globally dispersed agile development teams. With my background as a software developer and software architect, I enjoy leading large teams thru complex and varied business challenges. I believe that Agile is a pragmatic way to develop software which when applied correctly will result in both business and technical successes. I feel that TDD is an excellent way to develop software which is highly resilient, predictable and with less regressions. Automation is the glue that ties TDD & Agile together and allows for a comprehensive DevOps strategy including Continuous Integration & Deployment. I have significant experience leading Big Data and Data Processing teams as well as Mobile teams which covers the gamut of big processing concerns and small processing concerns. I have worked on product teams developing products that customers love, and I have work on building API systems that product teams use to build those products. I have grown teams from concept stage to a full-fledged productive and efficient development teams several times over my career. I enjoy working with product managers and product owners to identify business needs, then working with architects and designers to craft solutions, and finally to work sprint to sprint with technical managers and leaders to implement the vision. I have extensive experience operating software at scale including comprehensive monitoring, analysis and capacity planning. Having worked in the financial industry for more than twenty years, I have a rich understanding of financial products such as managed products, equities and financial markets.
