An entrepreneur, investor, strategic advisor and partnership builder at the cusp of traditional finance and emerging technology. Over the past decade, I have delivered value through my connections (150+ Corporate and FIG CxOs, regulators and startup relationships), ideas (strategy) and capital. An economist by degree, my interest in people and behavioural science complement my passions and career choices. Recruited as the youngest graduate hire in Deutsche Bank's 2010 batch, I transitioned into a top-ranked research coverage analyst (2011 - 15), covering financial institutions of Asia. My investment views have been featured in The Financial Times, Barron's, China Daily, The Edge Markets, amongst others. Since 2019, I have been part of JP Morgan's Asia Pacific Strategy Team, responsible for identifying opportunities to grow client footprint, develop innovative product capabilities and gain market share across 14 markets in Asia where we operate our Corporate & Investment Bank, Commercial Bank, Asset and Wealth Management divisions. Since 2017, I have expanded my understanding of complex financial systems into the world of FinTech and Blockchain, helping established enterprises and startups create innovative solutions and products to legacy problems. In the process, I have managed projects to the tune of ~US$1bn, helped in the fund-raising efforts of 8 companies (collective US$70m+) and spoken at multiple conferences. Outside the workplace, I passionately further a community volunteering initiative, Sewa Day, across Asia. In the past few years, we have trained 50+ youth leaders in HK and benefited the lives of 10,000+ people. For these efforts, I was selected as a representative on minority welfare issues as part of the Diversity List 2019: Youth To Watch. A dedicated sports lover (football, cricket, golf, tennis); a multi-lingual theatre actor and director; an adventurist (scuba-diver, paraglider-in-training) and boardgames geek, I take keen interest in world politics, and aim to crack a golf handicap of 6 by the age of 40.
