Senior Transport Specialist at Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank

Runze Yu is a Senior Transport Specialist at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. He is responsible for leading and managing project teams consisting of various specialists to deliver high-quality investment projects. He contributes to scaling up the Bank’s support to transport sector programs in client countries, by focusing on areas such as road connectivity, ports and logistics, railways, urban transportation, and road safety. Dr. Yu has infrastructure planning and development experiences in Bahrain, China, Georgia, India, Malaysia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Prior to joining AIIB in March 2018, he served several leadership roles in private sector-led urban development projects, as well as the consultant to the World Bank Office Beijing. He graduated from Tsinghua University, China and holds a PhD in Transportation from University of Washington, USA. Runze is from China.
