I have spent 14 years leading technology-enabled business process transformations and advising various tech startups. During that time, I focused on deriving business value through applying technology and its adoption. Additionally, being an active investor in traditional markets in pre-seed and seed phases for startups, in 2016, my attention turned to blockchain and web3. Since that time, I have constantly been asking myself the question: What is the real achievable utility of web3? I could not get any answers until the spring of 2020. I got an ‘aha’ moment when the DeFi started to blossom—that sudden insight and discovery made me go deeper into the rabbit hole of web3. I have been fully committed to web3 since that time. As one mentor told me once: Nothing happens in life unless you fully commit to do something and do it. My web3 journey had several perspectives, from investing and evaluating hundreds of projects through advising, being part of different web3 communities, and creating dozens of use cases to finally identifying the one I would be excited to build. This is how Empeiria started. I embarked on the mission to create an achievable core function of web3: The highest value-to-cost end-to-end infrastructure for verifiable data and decentralized trust that seamlessly bridges off-chain and on-chain worlds, paving the way for innovative real-world applications. Empeiria will transform digital interactions with cryptographic truth and decentralized trust by unlocking new classes of dApps powered by verifiable data and enabling real-world adoption of web3 for organizations.
