Some say software engineers “just write code.” That framing misses the real work entirely. At its core, business is the art of making economic trade-offs. Every decision comes down to a simple question: what can we live with, and what can’t we? Cost vs. speed. Flexibility vs. stability. Short-term wins vs. long-term resilience. That’s where I operate. My role isn’t to blindly implement features...it’s to help organizations make technical economic trade-off decisions that allow their businesses to automate, scale, and adapt efficiently. Code is simply the medium. Economics is the discipline. I’m perfectly comfortable being called “NerdyGuy”. I take it as a compliment. I’m a lifelong learner who thrives on challenge and complexity. There’s nothing more satisfying to me than wrestling with a hard problem, pushing through uncertainty, and emerging with clarity and leverage on the other side. My career didn’t start with a traditional 9-to-5. Right out of college, I co-founded a startup with friends. That experience permanently shaped how I think which forced me to balance technical decisions against real financial constraints, customer needs, and execution risk. It taught me early that every line of code has an economic consequence. Outside of work, I stay grounded through both creativity and movement. I enjoy drawing, working out, road trips, wine tasting, and spending quality time with family. I don’t just build systems..I help design the economic logic behind them.
