Director of Security, First Look Media | Young Global Leader

Currently the Director of Security at First Look Media. In 2012, SC Magazine named me one of the influential minds of IT Security. In 2014 I was named one of Italian WIRED's 50 people of 2014. In March of 2015, I was appointed a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. At Black Hat 2015, I was given a Pwnie award. Prior to my current role I worked as for 6 years as a Senior Security Engineer at Google, I'm a Senior Research Fellow and Technical Advisor at the Citizen Lab, Munk School of Global Affairs, University of Toronto. I also advise in a formal capacity: Amnesty International, Electronic Frontier Foundation, United Nations Inter-regional Crime and Justice Research Institute, Freedom of the Press Foundation. A frequent speaker at universities and conferences around the world, my work has been featured in numerous print and online publications including on the front pages of The New York Times and The Washington Post.
