Community Builder | Conservation Biologist | Social Impact Leader | Strategic Advisor; Working at the intersection of climate, food systems, impact entrepreneurship, and social finance
I am a collaborative, empathetic, people-centric leader with over 15 years of experience driving sustainability, environmental, and social enterprise initiatives across academia, industry, Indigenous, public sector, and non-profit organizations. Driven by a passion for conservation, a commitment to sustainability, and driving resources to problems that are often overlooked, I have dedicated my career to creating impactful change within the food system and beyond. As a marine biologist turned for-purpose entrepreneur, I bring a unique perspective to sustainability and supply chain challenges, combining scientific rigor with innovative business solutions and a deep commitment to building inclusive and purposeful work environments. My journey has led me from conducting and leading international marine conservation research projects to founding Nada, an innovative circular economy grocery initiative (e-commerce and retail) and certified B-Corporation featured widely in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Globe & Mail, to advising, mentoring, and supporting other women and non-binary entrepreneurs in the climate, social, and environmental impact space. Experienced in leading cross-functional teams (50+), managing operating budgets of $2M+, and navigating complex policy landscapes, I excel in designing and executing forward-thinking sustainability initiatives with an interdisciplinary approach that integrates people, planet, and profit. Combined with a passion for just transitions and economic equality, I deeply value diversity, equity, inclusion, and reconciliation, and embed these values in my work. My interests lie at the intersection of community, conservation, entrepreneurship, people and culture, sustainability, and regenerative economies. When I’m not on a screen, I can be found on (or under!) the water, in the mountains, and convening connections and conversations with women and non-binary social impact entrepreneurs. One of my biggest strengths is my love of learning and as an active advisor, board member, and mentor, I continue to learn and grow alongside purpose-driven organizations in the circular economy, climate, local food systems, marine conservation, and regenerative agriculture spaces. I live, work, and play on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples including xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil Waututh). Meaningful reconciliation requires both learning and action and I strive to prioritize both through all of my work.
