Michael A. Williams is an Analyst with GoldenTree Asset Management, where he focuses on monitoring and generating investment ideas for the firm’s high-yield credit and leveraged loans businesses across multiple strategies. Prior to GoldenTree, Michael was an Associate in TCW’s Fixed Income Group, where he was promoted to Assistant Vice-President in ‘24. Before TCW, Michael worked as a Vice-President in AlixPartners’ Turnaround & Restructuring practice with a focus on corporate debt restructurings, Chapter 11 bankruptcies, 363 asset sale execution and special situations. Michael began his career at PwC in the firm’s Advisory group. During his time in undergrad, Michael earned his B.A. in Economics from Williams College in 2015. While at Williams College, Michael was a four-year member of the varsity football team and a member of Williams' student government in class specific and campus wide positions in 2012 and 2013. In his spare time, Michael enjoys reading, watching football and basketball and is also an avid fan of traveling and poker.
