CEO & Co-founder at Aday | Board Director & Speaker | Forbes 30 under 30
I am the CEO of Aday, a fast-growing direct-to-consumer B Corp on a mission to create products that give people the confidence to change the world, starting with what they wear. We are profitable and growing fast. Aday was named one of the World's Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company and have been featured in publications ranging from Vogue, Forbes, Refinery29 to the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. I am a strategic, creative visionary and authentic leader, who turns ideas into reality. My passion is creating meaningful solutions to consumer facing problems generating positive impact. I also deeply passionate about culture creation and believe in allowing employees to be their full selves, allowing for growth through risk taking, radical candor and failure. Honesty and direct communication is important for me: I like to challenge assumptions to find the best overall solution. I lead with empathy and generosity, with a viewpoint of meritocratic democracy. Startups led by all-women founding teams account for less than 2% of all funding raised and less than 1% of all funding goes to LGBTQ+ founders. I came out as queer publicly in my 30s, after entering a serious relationship with a woman. There is a lot that I am still learning about my identity and I am committed to my path of self-growth and learning, especially how my identity affects how I act as a leader. I'm an investor turned entrepreneur and marketer growing digital-first brands with deep impact. After graduating from the University of Oxford, I worked at Goldman Sachs in London, where I met my co-founder, Nina Faulhaber. I then moved to the San Francisco Bay Area for an MBA at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where I concurrently worked part-time at Cowboy Ventures and CloudFlare, and was then one of the earliest employees at Poshmark. I have been recognized on the lists of Forbes’ 30 under 30 and Goldman Sachs' 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs. I find it difficult to pick up anything as "just a fun hobby." After starting Brazilian jiu jitsu aged 31, I earned three World Championship medals competing against full-time athletes and then moved to Southern California to to train (sort of) professionally as a combat sports fighter. This didn't last, but I am forever grateful for the experience of becoming a world class athlete. www.thisisaday.com | @Aday www.meghe.com | @Meg.He
