Max is a 4x Midas List early-stage venture capital investor at CRV, focused on the areas of AI, cloud application & infrastructure software, and cybersecurity. Max led CRV's investments in Airtable, Cribl, Reflection.ai, Dyna Robotics, Napkin.ai, Startree.ai, Scanner.dev, Lepton.ai ($NVDA), CloudGenix ($PANW), Respond Software ($GOOG), Determined.ai ($HPE), Resilience, Pilot.com, and over a dozen other companies many in stealth. Max was featured on Forbes Midas List four consecutive years from 2022-2025 as one of the top venture capital investors in the world. Max joined CRV from Cisco Systems, where he led investments and M&A across data center and emerging technologies in Corporate Development. Max started his career at Oracle, in Business Development for the Server Technologies division. At Oracle, Max was centrally involved in the acquisition of numerous software companies and established major technology, channel and strategic partnership relationships. Max has an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) from MIT, and a BS in EECS from UC Berkeley. When Max is not spending time with family, he is enjoying the outdoors.
