Future Trainee at Appleby | Law

I am a postgraduate legal professional focused on international corporate law, offshore regulatory strategy, and cross-border finance. Recently completed an LL.M. in International and Commercial Law with a focus on corporate law and reinsurance regulation, I recently submitted a dissertation on Bermuda’s global positioning in the insurance-linked securities (ILS) sector, which was awarded a Distinction by the University of Buckingham. The research was completed in parallel with a full-time placement at Appleby, where I gained first-hand commercial and regulatory experience in one of the world’s leading offshore legal environments. I have completed internships at Appleby (Bermuda) and Loyens & Loeff (Luxembourg), supporting advisory work across private equity structuring, fund finance, regulatory alignment (including FATF, AIFMD, MiFID II, and Solvency II), and dispute resolution in both civil and common law systems. My long-term career goals include specialising in cross-border transactional law, regulatory design, and legal strategy for financial centres and institutional clients operating at the intersection of law, capital, and jurisdictional identity.
