Marquis Parker is a business leader, advisor, and mentor who has experience formulating strategies and addressing mission-critical issues for organizations ranging from government and public sector entities to global private sector firms. Most recently, Marquis was Vice President of Strategy and Transformation for Indeed, an HR tech firm that strives to connect millions of job seekers to new jobs. In this role, he partnered with the Executive Team and other VP+ execs to develop and enhance Indeed’s org and operational vision, managed internal strategic alignment, and measured execution to that strategy. Previously, he served as Vice President of Global Product Commercialization, where he led multiple teams and partnered with senior functional leaders (e.g., Product, Marketing, Sales, Client Success) to identify and solve complex problems, and deliver business impact through introduction of new products, partnerships, and features into the market. Prior to Indeed, Marquis was the Global Head of M&A Integration and Transformation for Relativity, a technology firm that produces eDiscovery and compliance software solutions. In this role, he operationalized its growth strategy through leading the integration of acquired entities and participating in upfront deal and due diligence efforts. Earlier, he served as Global Director of HR Operations, Systems, and Analytics, where he led a cross-functional team that drove continuous improvement of core processes, systems, and insights within HR, and Global Director of Special Projects, where he managed business-critical operational/strategic projects and drove global change management initiatives. Marquis began his business career as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he advised private and public sector clients on a range of topics, including organization design, post-merger management, performance transformation, and growth strategy. Later, he held multiple business operations and strategy leadership roles at Aon plc (global financial services and human capital firm), Waterstone Group Holdings (Chicago-based private equity investment and strategic advisory holding company), and Management Recruiters International Inc. (former portfolio company of AE Industrial Partners in the human capital sector). Marquis holds an AB in Computer Science from Princeton University, MBA and MA in Education from Stanford University, and MS in Management of Information Technology from the University of Virginia.
