Lauren is a respected driving force and thought leader in the music industry where she is the Executive Vice President of Strategy & Business Development at HFA-Rumblefish (a Blackstone/SESAC Music Group company), serves on the Advisory Board of Women in Music, is a member of The Recording Academy (GRAMMYs), and was honored as a 3x Billboard Magazine Digital Power Player. She operates at the nexus of music and technology and fosters innovation through structuring new license revenue opportunities for music publishers and developing rights administration services for music distributors. Additionally she is a frequent music tech start-up judge and event speaker. Lauren has led start-up and mature business in various industries through transformation, diversification, digital innovation and growth. She has deep operational, strategic, business development, business affairs, product development, and analyst experience. Her career hallmark has been to identify and execute on opportunities arising from technological, financial, or regulatory disruption and leverage her skills across diverse enterprises and cultures. Prior to joining the music industry, Lauren was VP at Citigroup/eCiti where she focused on strategic investments in technology and digital product incubation and execution. She was also with Nikko Securities, where she was an analyst responsible for formulating asset management strategies to capitalize on regulatory changes. For a variety of private asset management companies, she provided operational and management consulting, as well as conceptualized and launched new lines of services and entrepreneurial ventures. Lauren is a mentor and trusted advisor to start-ups and accelerators/incubators, primarily in the tech, social entrepreneur, underrepresented and diverse founder spaces. She also is a Founder, an angel and real estate investor, a change agent with Female Equity (a non-profit entity whose mission is to increase the percentage of funding to women-founded entities) and a diversity & inclusion advocate. She has experience with best practices/programs in the inclusive capital/entrepreneurial arena and has a deeply developed network. Lauren sits on the advisory boards of both profit and non-profit organizations and connects founders to venture capital.
