I am a CPA licensed in the state of Virginia and currently serve as a Manager in the Internal Audit/Regulatory Compliance Services Area at KPMG, LLP. Through my experience at KPMG, I have gained extensive knowledge and experience in the health care industry, with specific knowledge and experience related to HIPAA and the health insurance marketplaces established by the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Prior to joining KPMG, LLP, I was a student at Virginia Tech where I obtained my BS in Accounting and Information Systems in three and a half years. Upon graudation, I completed 21 credits in the Masters in Accounting and Information Systems Program - Audit Option. Additionally, I served as a telco accounting intern for XO Communications during the Summers of 2008 & 2009 where I gained knowledge in accounting and the telecommunication industry.
