Ever since my childhood, I have been fascinated by computers. Right from playing Age of Empires on a Windows 98 computer in a cybercafe to taking Computer science as a special subject in my school during the teenage where we used TurboC++ for running sweet little C++ programs. I went on to learn C and C++ during my high school and my continued interest led me to do my Bachelor's in Computer Engineering. Here I was introduced to many other languages from ASM, lisp, Perl to C#. My fascination in the domain kept increasing as I studied algorithms, advanced mathematics, distributed systems, object-oriented programming, cyber forensics, etc. My continued efforts in academics and my interest in programming helped me get an internship at Nvidia. This organization helped grow my perspective to the next level. Working on super-sophisticated GPUs and machines like DGX-1 during my internship days made me fall into love with the field of data science. The research project there not only helped me grasp a great deal about the booming field of machine learning but also gave me the professional industry experience. I also picked up the understanding of python language along the way during this project. Further after college, I joined eQ Technologic as a Software Engineer. Here I learned and studied design patterns in Java, database design, versioning systems, underwent code reviews, build pipelines, and studied how agile software development works. This experience introduced me to the fast-paced client requirements and deliverables. It taught me how a blend of hard work and teamwork can make seemingly far-fetched goals achievable. I was also lucky to get the professional experience of two years on Java programming here. There is certainly a lot more to learn, more problems to solve, and more to build. This passion has now carried me to Stony Brook University in New York to pursue a Master's degree in this field of Computer Science. I recently completed my internship at Nutanix where I worked on building a new REST API infrastructure that is built to improve the scalability of the product. During this project, I was introduced to the systems domain and I felt proud to be able to grasp the new things here in a mere timespan of 9 weeks. I re-learned git and C++ here in detail and felt empowered by various features that I newly learned. Language specialties: C++, Python, Java Check out my portfolio here: https://kaustubh-sable.github.io/
