Previously Juan worked for UNICEF in Niger and Burundi, MSF in Chad, UNHCR, and the UN in New York City, where he was responsible for managing UN Web TV social media platforms and assisted with news production during the Syrian war, the Ukrainian conflict and the Ebola Outbreak within the Department of Public Information. As public relations and political advisor, he worked for the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, covering the information and activities related to the UN Security Council. As a freelance, he has produced several pitches like investigations, articles, photo essays, or video stories for a wide range of global media focusing on humanitarian issues and international news. His work has been recognized by global aid organizations and international media corporations, including the United Nations, UNICEF, the World Bank, MSF, UNHCR, OCHA, Al Jazeera, The New York Times, The Guardian, Le Monde, El País, El Mundo, BBC, Forbes, National Geographic, RTVE, Vogue, The Christian Science Monitor, or La Vanguardia. He devotes his professional and personal life to denouncing global human rights injustices and uncovering stories through the power of media, photography, and journalism. He studied journalism in Madrid at University Carlos III and coursed Master´s studies in Journalism and Media Analysis at the Vytautos Magnus University of Lithuania.
