Agile, adaptable, and empathetic revenue executive operating at the intersection of sales, marketing, and creativity with a successful 16+ year track record of providing internal and external stakeholders with results and inspiration. Proven organizational leader and people manager through multiple periods of challenging marketplace conditions. Consistently promoted and given more responsibility for a combination of proactive insights-driven strategies, relationship building abilities, and quota attainment. ---- What my resume says: Jason Schulweis is the Chief Commercial Officer of The Female Quotient, where he focuses on driving and growing The FQ’s brand partnership offerings, building a go-to-market strategy, and further building FQ’s media and content business. Previously, he was Chief Revenue Officer at mindbodygreen, a well-being content, commerce, and education brand, where he oversaw all sales and brand strategy functions. Prior to that, Schulweis was the EVP, Brand Partnerships & Creative Studio at Morning Brew, growing revenue and headcount 20x and helping enable a sale of the company in late 2020. Before that, he held senior roles at MediaLink, Live Nation, Thrillist, and Yahoo!. What my resume does not say: Here are the guiding principles I look for and instill in a high functioning team. • Being teammates: Really caring about and supporting one another, and taking the time to get to know one another outside of the transactional. Everyone is human. • Having accountability: Messing up is OK, but only if you own it. Doing that, and then saying "here’s what happened + here’s the way forward + here’s what I’m doing to make sure it doesn’t happen again” is one of the best, most powerful frameworks for any team in business. • Communicating clearly: This means being as proactive and concise in verbal and written communication as possible, and always erring on the side of over-communication if you are unsure about anything (all better than assuming). • Using critical thinking: Not just going through the motions, since things are most often not straightforward. • Not having an ego: Good ideas can come from anywhere and anyone, irrespective of team, role, or experience. • Never saying "can't:” There's no such thing as impossible. Being solutions oriented, and “finding a way” is how great teams win. • Operating with ownership and agency: Everyone can make decisions and effect change. This means never believing that something isn’t your problem. • Creating a culture of giving & receiving feedback: It is so important because it compounds growth.
