Hey, there! I'm John. I am a results-driven Product Designer based in Chicago, IL. With a focus on product innovation and a commitment to delivering clean UI, I have a proven track record of transforming ideas into impactful digital products that leave a lasting impression. I moved several times across the world as a child, where I developed a strong desire to connect with others and to share stories and experiences with them. Initially, I focused that empathy theatrically, but I felt a calling to focus my strengths on problem solving and building products we can all share as one. 🌟 Approach to Design 🌟 With 3+ years of experience in UX Design, I design impactful and clean UI. My goal is to make any product I touch accessible, usable, and iterative. UX needs to be user-driven and I have brought that mindset to all products I've worked on. That has allowed me to launch mobile apps, create design systems, create greenfield applications, and improve multiple existing applications. 🔹 Experience 🔹 Currently, I am working as a Product Designer at Cognizant (formerly Devbridge). There, I drive the UX Design process for a high-traffic FinTech product. Managing 10 workstreams, collectively valued at over $17 million annually, I've taken the lead in developing prototypes and design libraries using Figma, reducing design churn, and facilitating seamless collaboration across stakeholders and engineers. Prior to that, I worked as a design consultant on multiple mobile and desktop applications in the FinTech, Legal, and Entertainment industries. 🎓 Education 🎓 I am currently furthering my education at Northwestern University, working towards a Master's degree in Product Design and Development Management. I hold a BFA in Theatre and a BS in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. In addition, I pursued UX Design by joining the UX Design Immersive Program at Thinkful, where I specialized in Visual Design and User Research. My multidisciplinary background empowers me to approach design challenges with creativity, empathy, and a unique perspective. 💼 Skills 💼 Utilizing Figma, Miro, and the Adobe Suite, I bring versatility to my design process.
