I taught myself web development, and parlayed that into a role at a digital marketing startup, and have been in software development and SaaS ever since. Product and Engineering leadership soon realized I was super-well organized, had a knack for working well across teams, and was a "tech whisperer". So I became a Certified Scrum Master and moved into a role that was part product operations, part program management, helping DoubleClick institute an agile software development practice and liaising between Engineering, Product, and the rest of the company. I continued in that role at Google for a few years, but wanted a larger leadership role. So I went back to Performics and helped them rebuild and lead their Engineering team and start a Business Operations team to establish structural rigor and standards of practice. After losing my job due to a RIF, I went to a data analytics consulting firm where I deepened my program management skills and stayed close to my educator roots as a trainer. I then returned to SaaS, helping DialogTech first harden and scale their professional services organization, and then implement and head an agile project management practice. I also led multiple cross-functional teams to execute on post-acquisition integrations and platform migrations. Along the way, I've been deeply involved with building and fostering company culture.
