Staff Software Engineer

With over a decade of experience, I’ve led transformative projects that optimized infrastructure, enhanced scalability, and integrated advanced AI tooling. My expertise spans cloud computing, distributed systems, and full-stack development, with a strong proficiency in Terraform, Golang, Python, and AWS. I started my career at Amazon where I worked on one of the core business units, the ad server platform. I lead the launching of the Viewable Ads initiative - integrating ad view metrics into the platform for better attribution modeling and new ad products. Since then, I have been able to work in both consulting and venture backed businesses. At Dreambox Learning, I spearheaded the development of foundational AI infrastructure, driving the first product release of a generative AI-based lesson planning system. My consulting roles at Eliassen Group, iStreamPlanet, and 98point6 have honed my ability to address complex technical challenges and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.  I thrive navigating the intricacies of large-scale project management and strategic planning, and have consistently delivered results ahead of schedule, ensuring seamless transitions and robust system integrations. As a co-founder and CTO, I developed a convolutional neural network for weapons detection, showcasing my entrepreneurial spirit and technical acumen. I am passionate about leveraging technology to drive business growth and building resilient, scalable systems that empower organizations to achieve their goals.  Originally from the Pacific Northwest (Seattle), I now reside in New York City. I love hiking, camping, as well as 3d-printing, welding, and anything "Maker". But, you can also find me at the latest Eater write-up as I'm a big foodie.
